SCALExD at BASEhabitat Summer School 2025

The BASEhabitat Summer School, organized by the Department of Architecture at the University of Arts Linz, brings together students and professionals from around the world who are engaged with natural building materials and sustainable architectural practices. As part of the SCALExD project’s dissemination activities, the University of Arts Linz partners held a presentation during the Summer School in Kuchl, Austria.

This presentation outlined the objectives and ongoing activities of the SCALExD project, with a focus on integrating digital fabrication with natural materials and interdisciplinary educational approaches. Participants were invited to reflect on how emerging technologies can complement traditional techniques and crafts, and support innovation in architectural
practices.

This exchange contributed to raise awareness of the educational framework of SCALExD, while also establishing valuable connections with a broader community of emerging practitioners and educators.
